Obituary of Raymond George Darrow

Raymond Darrow, 85, of Baldwinsville, died January 17, 2019 at Syracuse VA Medical Center. Raymond spent 3 years in the Army defending our country. He worked for Greyhound for over 30 years, both as a driver as well as a manager within the Safety Department – where many life-long friendships were made. Raymond is predeceased by his loving wife of 60 years, Virginia. Ray will be remembered for his kindness, his helpful spirit, and his activities in local, community activities such as Meals-on-Wheels. Survived by his son, Douglas Kenneth (Rosanne) Darrow of Philadelphia; daughter, Deborah Karen Darrow of Baldwinsville; granddaughter, Laura Ellen Darrow of West Chester, PA; sisters, Janise Pawliw (Taras) and Paulette Barber. Calling hours will be held Monday, January 21, from 2-4 PM with a funeral service to follow at 4 PM at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville. Burial will be in Weedsport Rural Cemetery, in the spring. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Meals on Wheels, 76 Canton St, Baldwinsville, NY 13027
