So sorry to learn of Mike's passing. I knew Mike from St. Marys and the Legion of Mary, he was truly a devout christian who loved God and his fellow man. I am sure he is resting with Jesus.

Dear Cathy and family, Please accept our deepest sympathy on the loss of your loved one, Michael. We have known this kind-hearted man since childhood, when the Canale family lived across the road from us on West 8th St. in Oswego. We were close friends and neighbors with Frances and Michael Sr. and their four children, Michael Jr., Gerry, Donna, and Karen. What a beautiful family. Michael (son) was always deep in his Faith and had a close connection with our Lord. It was evident in the special way he lived his life. He will be missed by all, but never forgotten. Mike, you have been called home and blessed to be in the loving arms of Jesus. RIP Michael Canale........ Blessings and prayers to everyone, Paul and Connie (Snyder) Dasans

I had the privilege of teaching with Mike at Van Buren from 1975-1979. He was a wonderful educator and the students who were in his classes were very fortunate. He was one of the first teachers to accept one of my autistic students for inclusion in his class and I will never forget his patience and understanding when working with the student. He was one of the great ones! My sincere condolences to his family. I know he will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

I am so sorry for your loss! Uncle Mike was one of the most strong, compassionate people I have ever known. He was an inspiration to all who had the opportunity to know him and his positive spirit and sense of humor will truly be missed at future family gatherings. It has been my pleasure over the years to share many meals with the family. Mike was a very giving man who held the well being of his family his priority above all else.
