Can't count how many times I laughed at something Uncle Don said or did. He truly had a zest for life. I'll never forget the day in 2002 that we stood on the USS Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbor. I was there to see a part of US history that we can't ever forget and to pay my respect to the people who lost their lives over 20 years before I was born. Uncle Don was there for something much more than the 1,177 crewmen who lost their lives - he was there for his many "brothers and sisters" who have served and made the ultimate sacrifice. He was there for everyone like himself that have served our country for our freedom. That day was one of the reasons he loved life and his family so much! Thanks Uncle Don for being such a bright and happy part of my life!
Aunt Pat, Don & Jim, Doug & Margie, Dan & Sandy, Cody & Robin, Carrie & Rob, and all the grandchildren - Jim & I send our sympathies to you all. We will miss Uncle Don very much. He was one of a kind.
