I came across this site while browsing the web. I went to St. Mary's School in B'ville, NY with Joe and his sister Mary from 1972 right up to our graduation in June of 1980 and then our graduation from C.W. Baker High School in June of 1984. The memories I have are ones I would never trade for anything in the world. I know that if Joe was reading this right now I believe he would probably be laughing his butt off. Joe and John Sauter, my neighbor and my very best friend could make me laugh just by looking at me! I believe that God has his hands full with those two guys up there in heaven. I used to think that I would be laid out in the funeral home just by laughing to death. That's how funny Joe and John were! We used to get in trouble quite often. I'm starting to get teary eyed just thinking about it. Joe was truly one of the best friends I ever had growing up. I miss him so much. Whenever I hear a song from ELO, Queen, Sweet or a variety of other bands I always think of him. I especially think of him whenever I drive by the funeral home or Riverview cemetery. The flood of memories are never ending. I miss you Joseph! More than you will ever know. I know that you are up there looking down.Take care and God bless you always my friend! I would like to take this opportunity to say God bless the entire Falardeau family. They have not only been a blessing to the entire Baldwinsville community for so many years they have also been wonderful to me too. I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart!
Sincerely,
Timothy K. Nagy ( Monday December 21, 2020)

I am sure he will be missed by your entire family and entire community, RIP Joe, you have touched many hearts when they needed you most. God has received a special Angel. Prayers for your family that his memories wrap around you and comfort you at this time of great loss

Joe, I know it's been almost a month since you passed, but it's taken me that long to get my head around your passing. We all had such a good time when we were kids and I will always have those wonderful memories. Playing "ghost in the graveyard" and spending most of our summers at the pool with our little group. You were such a great friend and a genuine soul. We were a pretty tight knit bunch through jr. high and high school. Those were some of the best years of my life. It bothers me that life gets in the way sometimes and keeps us from staying in touch with old friends. You were a great friend and will be greatly missed. My heart goes out to your family and I can't even begin to know the pain they must feel with your loss. I believe that God needed you and that's why he took you from us and he now has a bright angel to watch over us. You are deeply missed my friend!

Dear Falardeau Family,
My husband and I were stunned to hear of Joe's passing. What an exceptional man. Seven years ago I met Joe when he ame to my parents house when my mother passed away at home. Then we met again two years ago when my father passed away tragically in a house fire. Joe was amazing both times especially with my dad. He worked so hard for our family to have an open casket for him. In the end I decided against it. I felt terrible knowing all the time he spent. He helped guide us through the whol process. What a kind, compassionate gentlemen. We are so sorry for your devastating loss. God Bless all of your family.
Sincerely,
John and Debbie Sims

Some may come and some may go
We shall surely pass
When the one that left us here
Returns for us at last
We are but a moment's sunlight
Fading in the grass
Come on people now
Smile on your brother
Everybody get together
Try to love one another
Right now

Do not cry, he's only away, gone to heaven forever to stay. He left his earthly life one sunny day when angels took him away.
He now lives in the land of heavenly bliss, plays in fluffy clouds and golden mist.
He flys down the milkey way on gossimer wings, listens to an angel choir as they sing.
Joe is at peace now, and lives with our Lord. There he'll dwell forever more.
Some day we'll be together again, when I meet him in heaven
at my life's end,
-until then, HE'S JUST AWAY.
Please know that my thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

My words can never give adequate justice to what I saw in Joe. He was "gentle"man who always seemed to have a neverending smile whether you saw him at the grocery store or at Falardeaus, it never changed. He put you at ease instantly and knew just what to say. He had this way about him that could turn a bad day into something brighter. Susie, so many years back when we talked at PHP I went away that day thinking God really loves us when He picks our spouses for us because you two were a match that He designed. I pray for you all, that the sadness lessens quick and that the joy he gave to so many remains with you.

Don, Suzy and all of the Falardeau family, It was with a heavy heart when I learned of Joe's passing. Our families go back decades, and most recently too often. When I met Joe, I thought of how much he reminded me of you and your Dad. Kind, compassionate, helpful, and just an overall reminder of how dedicated your family is to the B'ville and St. Mary's families. Your families calling is not an easy one, seeing people every day knowing that possibly one day you would have to help send them on. To have Joe be one of them is unfathomable at his age. To the Falardeau Family: Although I never met Joe until earlier this year, my children went to Baker High with him and my son (Rob Carey) affectionately referred to Joe as "The Gentle Giant". He was well respected by his peers and by those he comforted during their time of loss. When my husband passed away earlier this year, Joe was with our family all the way, patiently and respectfully helping us in our time of need. He walked us through each hard day and made our service very personal and very special. He was our rock. As we looked to him for guidance, there he stood, offering compassion and comfort at every step. Joe was a very special man and will be missed by all. I cannot begin to express my sincere and deepest sympathy for your loss of Joe. I always looked for him whenever I came because he was just such a kind, caring, friendly, handsome and fun person. He offered to record Briana and now I regret that our lives seem so busy that we don't do things when we should. It would have meant spending some time with him and I would be treasuring that now. He was the best at his chosen profession. So important to so many people. I know he loved his family above all else. To me, he was a lovable teddy bear. I can't begin to imagine your pain at this time and I hope somehow, knowing how much others care will help to ease this pain. I am here for anything you may need. He will never be forgotten. Dear Helen, Don and family...I am a better person for having known my friend Joe Falardeau. He made me laugh; and at the same time was able to shed a new, and unique perspective on any random topic we may have been discussing. He would smile, laugh and be animated to express his point. He had very strong views but was able to listen to others. That ability made him simply a "gentle giant". When I was not feeling very happy, myself, he found a way to make me laugh. It was generally an imitation and mockery of my behavior that would get me to see how I might simply be a bit self absorbed. Joe and I spent hours together during our time at Simmons. We went to class, hung out, and spent many a weekend night together. He included me in with his childhood friends. We had a lot of fun. Joe's love for music went beyond the enjoyment of listening. Joe had a great ability to pick up an instrument and create music. It was a passion. I am forever thankful that he took time to share this with my boys Matt and Alex. Joe brought them into his studio, listened to what they wanted to accomplish, and helped them record several songs. Joe sent me his latest recording just last week. It made me laugh; but once again it also made me think. I will so miss my friend for very selfish reasons. I am so sorry that Helen and Don have been given this cross to bare; but I know that together, with family, they will be thankful for having had the opportunity to have known Joe...than not to have known him at all. Rest in Peace Joe; you definitely deserve it.

Words cannot possibly express the sadness that I have felt since learning of Joe's death. He comforted me and my family during some our darkest days icluding this past July when we buried my father. Joe went above and beyond all expectations and his kindness will never be forgotten. It's an amazing thing to think of how many lives he touched in the short time he was on this Earth...no doubt God has another angel in heaven now, but we have lost a wonderful human being...If there is anything the Stamp family can do to help in this terrible time of grief, please let us know.
I will miss you "joey"

We were together many years on Grove St. Times I sometimes have a tough time remembering. But situations bring them back as this so tragically does. We are deeply saddened by this. We can only hope you are resting with our father and smiling that brilliant smile on all of us. God bless you and all your family..

Also being one of the 12 sets of twins that graduated in 1984, we all sort of had a bit of that twin bond thing. I definitely have a hole in my heart and I wish to express my deepest sympathy for the whole Falardeau clan. Joe was simply one of the nicest people I have ever known.
