Dear Audrey,Jimmy,Beth,Lynny,Gage & Family,
I was so saddened to hear that Papa had passed and so very sorry you all have to experience this pain. Your Father & Grandpa,(and Mother & Grandma) were so very proud of each and every one of you. For years and years I have heard wonderful stories about all of you and how fortunate and blessed they were to have "YOU" in their lives.(Even from Arizona!) I am also blessed to have been so close to them and all of you for so long. I will always treasure the sweetness and love that comes from your family. May today give you strength, peace and comfort knowing that so many people love you. My Prayers and Love to all and I will see you again in the spring.

I've lived in the San Francisco Bay area since 1961 but I was born in Syracuse, grew up in Liverpool, and my radio career began at WOLF. I fondly remember the good times we all had with Dick who, at the time, was an engineer---and a very good one! Those were very happy times when WOLF ruled the roost in Syracuse radio. I'm sorry I don't know Audrey and the rest of the family but my friend, Dusty Rhodes, has kept me informed of Dick and his activities. My sincere condolences to the family.

To Audrey and family: I am so sorry for your loss. Your Dad was a true friend and role model when I began my broadcasting career at WOLF as a teenage kid. I always valued his advice and good example. I'll never forget his kindness and understanding and am so glad I had a chance to re-connect with him over the past decade or so. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time.

My name is Dick Schilling. I worked with Dick from my hiring at James A. Fitzpatrick NPP in 1977 until his retirement. Dick Pirong was a pleasure to work with. He was ultra-competent at his job, and always willing to help or teach a "newbie" like me. He and I had numerous interactions at work, including engaging conversations concerning topics beyond the scope of the facility's computer mainframe at JAF. I am happy to hear he enjoyed a quarter-century of retirement life, but I am still very sad to hear of his passing.

I had the Blessing of knowing Mr.Pirong over 43 years of my life. He was the most honorable, gentle, caring, decent, compassionate, and loving man, father, husband, and friend, I have had the pleasure of ever knowing. He will be greatly missed. B'ville will not be the same without Mr. and Mrs. Pirong, their smiling faces and friendly, kind words they always greeted you with. Baldwinsville will suffer a feeling of great loss, without them. My heart and prayers are with you Audrey, Jimmy and family. I only comfort we have is knowing we will see Dick and Nancy once again and some of us very soon.
Love Always,
Twila,Shannon,Angela and family
