Please share a memory of Russell to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Russell W. Tomsa, 35, of Baldwinsville, NY, passed away unexpectedly on March 9, 2022.

Russ was born on July 30, 1986 and grew up in Baldwinsville. He graduated C.W. Baker High School in 2004 and the University of Buffalo, with both an undergraduate and Master's degree.

Russ was a wonderful, loving, kind and thoughtful son with a great sense of humor. He was always willing to listen to the problems of other people and try to find solutions.

His career was in the academic field as an IT professional but his passion was computers and online gaming where he had a vast community of friends, who knew him as Santhara or Yoink, whom he cared a great deal about and they him.

His wonderful close circle of local friends, Brian, Ari, Roxy, Matt, Carissa, Aaron and Devin, whom would get together often, were so important to him and he loved them deeply.

Russ loved nature and going for long walks at local nature centers and the zoo. He was kind and caring to animals, particularly his pet rabbit Bunny who he adored despite Bunny's feisty nature.

He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Russ is survived by his mother, Debra Tomsa of Baldwinsville, NY as well as all of his wonderful friends.

Services and burial will be private. Fond memories and thoughts of Russ left online will be greatly appreciated by his mother.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the wildlife rescue: Hunter Hollow Bunny Bed & Breakfast https://hunterhollow.org/ 6629 East Taft Rd., East Syracuse, New York 13057 (315) 463-6757 or at their GoFundMe site - https://www.gofund.me/34bcf0ee as well as their Facebook page.

His mother would like to thank the Baldwinsville Ambulance Corps , the Baldwinsville Police Department and Falardeau Funeral Home for their help and kindness. And to his closest friends, Brian, Ari, Roxy, Matt, Carissa, Aaron and Devin, as well as his online friends, a heartfelt Thank You for everything you have done.
