Obituary of John C Mosher

John C Mosher, age 65 from Baldwinsville, NY passed away February 20, 2022. Coach was called up to the big leagues after an impressive fight against pancreatic cancer.

Born on November 27, 1956, in Syracuse, NY to Louis and Airea Mosher. He received his bachelor's degree from Oswego State in 1978. John retired after 30 years from Novelis as Global Director of Environment Health and Safety where he was very passionate about his work and those whom he worked with.

In 1984 he married "his bride" Debbie Snyder and together they enjoyed 37 unbelievably wonderful years together. His family was everything to him. One of his proudest moments was watching his son Michael graduate from welding school.

John was preceded in death by his father, Louis. His is survived by his wife, Debbie; son, Michael; "daughter", Sarah; mom, Airea; grandson Thomas; brothers, Fred (Anne), Rick (Kelly) and Lou along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends.

John lived life to the fullest. He was cherished by his friends and his community where he was known for coaching youth hockey, volunteering, being a mentor and always being there with a helping hand. He enjoyed more during his retirement than most people do in a lifetime. He loved the 1000 islands with a passion and spent his summers at the family camp in Cape Vincent. You could find him boating, reading, researching, planting flowers, feeding the birds, or mowing with a cigar in hand and creating a laugh around the campfire.

He and Debbie traveled the entire country by RV enjoying every back road, meeting new friends, visiting "old" friends, and making memories. The Voyager Resort in Tucson became the favorite winter home. "The Hood" is a caring community of lifetime friends. Nicknamed "Little John" not only was he an active player, but he was also involved in the park's organizational component of pickleball and the

ambassador for having fun on the courts. John had a quick wit, infectious smile, and a kind and

compassionate spirit. He will be missed, but not forgotten.

Calling Hours will be held from 1-4pm Saturday, March 5th, 2022 at Falardeau Funeral Home followed by a celebration of John's life at the Fireside Inn at 4:30.
