I met Past Overton when he took over the pastoral position after Pastor Don Perkins left. I remember him playing his guitar and singing the hymn, Honey in the Rock as a special on the first Sunday as pastor at Temple Baptist Church, Baldwinsville, NY. Back then the church was an old barn. Pastor Overton was a man of a kind, gentle nature who loved serving his Saviour and Lord. He will be missed. One day I will see him again. Ann Creighton-Ward (Knobloch)

To Carol and all the family, Darianne and I are heartbroken over the loss of Pastor Overton. He was not just a great friend but great help to our family personally ever since we started on the mission field. He will be missed but welcomed in Glory and rewarded by his Saviour!
