Echoing what was said by Karen Cohen and repeated by many others in the Nature Club at Century Village East in Deerfield Beach, Manny and I want to add our appreciation for what Carol meant in our lives. She worked closely with Manny overseeing the Club's finances and travel arrangements.
She was a generous, kind and loyal friend for all the years we knew her. Over the ten years or so of our friendship, she and I chatted frequently about everything that was going on or had transpired in our lives. I recall her devotion to her mother when she needed to move to assisted living--Carol oversaw her care and placement even when she couldn't physically be there. We chatted about The Club as we made the necessary preparations for trips, etc. and about the political and social events at CVE. We compared our religions and how we observed them. Carol was very proud of her children and I learned to feel close to them even though we never met. A highlight was Kathy's wedding a couple years ago. I'm so very glad Carol and Bill were there--I cherish the photos.
I always looked forward to seeing Carol again in the fall. I have missed her tremendously this season. She will live in my heart forever.

Our sincere condolences to the Carr family. Carol was a very special person to everyone in the CVE Nature Club. She always greeted people with a friendly "hello" and made them feel included and valued. She worked tirelessly as part of an executive team that ensured members had many amazing experiences at both our monthly meetings and out on field trips. Not only did she help come up with fabulous program ideas, she also did the work to make them happen. No detail was too small. No reasonable request (and sometimes unreasonable request) was ever ignored or dismissed. She made things happen. Carol, in her special green t-shirt, will be dearly missed. Rest in peace.
