I was very sad to get Joan's text about Mrs. Haskell's death. Joan is my oldest and dear friend. The Haskell's were a second family to me. I think I was over there as much as my own home when I was growing up. I have warm memories of Mrs. Haskell. There were many times I'd stop over and Mrs. Haskell would be playing the piano and singing. I remember Joan joining her several times making it a duet. She was always soft spoken and I loved when she winked at me. ;) She was always generous to let us use her kitchen (I think she knew about it) to make our fudge and no bake cookies for our lemonade stands (we had several). There are so many good/fun memories of the Haskell's that I can't name them all here. As I got older, they wanted me to call them Nancy and Bob, but I could never get used to that! She will always be Mrs. Haskell to me and she will be sorely missed. My condolences to the entire Haskell family.

Dear Bob and Family, I was very sorry to learn of Nancy's passing. I remember her well from First U-U in Syracuse. She made many contributions to the life of the church, and I can still see her smiling face. I hope your sense of loss will be tempered by the many happy memories you have of her and your life together. In sympathy, Janet Mallan

Loved to hear Bob tell her something funny, just to hear her giggle. She will sure be missed! When my mom was alive, she would go next door because the Haskells had a nice porch to sit on! The two Nancys would chat for quite a while! When we were young, she was always the voice of reason, in her kind way she made this wild child stop and think. ❤

My Aunt Nancy
A wonderful lady whom our family adored
A gift from God when she entered the world
In so many ways she touched people's lives
With her smile and laugh and good-natured charm
She offered hope and guidance in a world not so warm
With her husband Bob by her side
She raised a family of four
All of whom we simply adore
We pray for them all in their time of grief
But all the while knowing she's in a place of happiness and relief
I will miss you Aunt Nancy you will always have a place in my heart
And through your family my memory of you will never part.

Dear Bob and Family,
We are so sorry to hear of Nancy’s passing. God bless you as you grieve a wonderful wife, mother and friend. Your notes about Nancy over the years spoke so eloquently, if implicitly, of the great love you shared these 65 years, Bob. Those words and that great love inspired by example. Sadly, we, too, are out of town this weekend.
Take good care,
Jeff & Karen Rea
