Please share a memory of Ella to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Ella M. (Paterson) Rosch, 93. Born Jan 15, 1926 in Syracuse, and passed away at her home at The Commons on St. Anthony St., April 15, 2019. She graduated from Central High in 1943, and went on to be an administrative assistant at General Motors in Syracuse in many departments for 32 years, retiring in 1987 as secretary to the Plant Manager. She loved gardening, needlework, and her music, but her special talent was her beautiful calligraphy. She will be remembered as a funny, kind, gracious, positive & very independent woman, with a beautiful soul and deep love for animals. Her beloved dog Bonnie has been waiting patiently for her at the Rainbow Bridge. She will be terribly missed by her daughter and son-in-law Jean and Doug Hathaway of Jordan, NY, and the rest of her family: Laurie, Brooke, Brynna, Jake, DJ, Chris, Sarah, Kyle, Connie, Gerry, Tricia, Tim, Ava, Jeremy, Kelly, Wesley, Woody, and of course Lila the Cat. Also by local friends and relatives in Florida and Scotland. She was predeceased by her beloved brother Archie H. Paterson, and parents Jean and Charles Paterson. Jean & Doug would like to extend special thanks to Sara Ginnan and to the wonderful caregivers at The Commons, who kept her singing and happy. Her forever sunny disposition will be terribly missed. No calling hours, but condolences can be left at FalardeauFH.com. Contributions in her memory can be made to Finger Lakes SPCA, 41 York St., Auburn, NY 13021 "You Are My Sunshine".
