Obituary of Ruth H. Roy

Ruth H. Roy, age 93, passed away on October 11, 2018 at The Cunningham in Syracuse, NY. She was born in Antwerp, NY on September 25, 1925. Survived by daughters and their families; Debbie Roy-Jones and Bruce Jones of Baldwinsville, NY, Adam Jones of Liverpool, NY and Bryan Jones of Cicero, NY. Kathy and Roy Laccone of Wesley Chapel, FL, Marisa Laccone of Wesley Chapel, FL and Anthony and Emi Laccone of Okinawa, Japan. She's also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Clarence Hicks and Deborah Harris Hicks and siblings, Marion, Grace, Lena, Frank and Herschel. She retired from the NY Telephone Company in 1985 after 25+ years of employment. She enjoyed trips to the Turning Stone, eating out with friends, SU Sports, Mets baseball, going to the NY State Fair & country music shows. A special thank you to Loretto Health where she had resided for the past few years, especially the nurses on the 7th floor of Cunningham where she had been a resident for the past couple of weeks. No calling hours will be held and burial will be private in the Hicks family plot in Theresa, NY at a later date.
