Obituary of Anthony Scicchitano, Jr.

Anthony "Tony" Scicchitano, Jr. passed peacefully Saturday, August 4, 2018, at the Francis House of Syracuse, surrounded by family. Anthony lived all his life in Syracuse and Baldwinsville, NY.

Anthony was predeceased by his parents and loving wife of 52 years, Susan (Hall). Anthony is survived by his five children, Michael of Baldwinsville, Amy Donahue of Syracuse, Cari Tudman (James) of North Syracuse, Jeffrey (Kimberly) of Kennett Square, PA and Robyn Scicchitano of Syracuse, NY, Brother Frank Scicchitano (Marie) of Erie, PA and Sister Catherine "Kitty" Clayton (William) of Bedford, TX and 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Born June 8, 1935, in Syracuse, NY to Anthony & Philomena (Fany) Scicchitano, he graduated from North High School, Syracuse, NY in 1953 and went to a successful professional career in insurance sales with Mutual of Omaha Company. Anthony won many sales awards including a trip to the Bahamas to meet brand ambassador "Marlin Perkins" of "Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom". Tony went on to another successful career in building material sales and after retirement in 1995 shattered all records at East Syracuse Sales as top automobile salesman (part-time) over the next 17 years.

Tony was an avid golfer who never missed a day at his home course of Ironwood. Anthony loved to spend time with his family and making friends wherever he went as he was a very lovable caring family man. In his retirement years, he enjoyed traveling with his wife around the northeast, while holding a strong faith with the church.

Calling hours 4-7 Thursday, August, 9 at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St, Baldwinsville. A Mass of Christian Burial is 10 am, Friday, August 10 at St. Mary's Church, 47 Syracuse St, Baldwinsville. Burial is in Greenlawn Cemetery.
