Obituary of Aileen Ballard

Aileen Ballard went to her eternal reward, surrounded by her family, on May 4th, 2018. Aileen overcame many obstacles in her 61 years—beating the odds—and despite her physical limitations, lived a loving and joy-filled life, never complaining about a thing. She was loved by everyone she met! She enjoyed spending time with her mother at Canton Woods Senior Center and the bowling alley, and taking trips to every Bingo establishment in Central New York—and winning often.

Aileen is predeceased by her father, Alton Ballard, Sr.; aunt Esther Bigness; uncles, Frank and Joseph Luckette; aunt, Fay Luckette. She is survived by her mother, who took care of her every need for the last 40 years, Arlene Luckette; aunt, Jeanette Luckette; siblings Al Ballard and Alicia Carter; nephews, Fr. Christopher Ballard, Thomas Carter and Andrew Carter; several cousins, and many friends from Conifer Village, Canton Woods and beyond.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2018, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer Street, Baldwinsville, NY 13027. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, May 11, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Hope Church, 4845 S. Salina St., Syracuse, NY 13205.
