M. Jeanne Comerford, 96, of Baldwinsville, NY, passed away peacefully in her sleep April 13th 2018. Jeanne was born on April 22, 1922, in Syracuse, NY, the daughter of John and Nora (Townsend) Comerford. She attended Syracuse Schools and spent summers at the family camp on Skaneateles Lake with her aunts, uncles and cousins. Jeanne worked for Carrier for 30 years retiring in 1986. At Carrier, she made many good and great friends including a circle of friends who referred to themselves as "The Kids". She was a passionate golfer, gardener, and world traveler. Jeanne was a communicant and devoted volunteer of many years at St. Mary's Church in Baldwinsville, Meals On Wheels and Habitat For Humanity in the Baldwinsville area. She was predeceased by her parents , her sister, Patricia C. Murtagh (James), her niece, Patricia Murtagh, her nephew, Michael Murtagh, and her cousin with whom she was raised Frank Townsend Robins. She is survived by Frank's widow, Janet Robins, their three children, Thomas and Daniel Robbins, all of Saratoga Springs, NY and Ann R. Winn (Joseph) of Burlington, VT, as well as several cousins and grand-cousins. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to Jeanne's caregivers and especially Toni Brown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's Church, 47 Syracuse, St., Baldwinsville at 10:00am Friday, April 20th.
