Obituary of Lloyd Merriman Farr

Lloyd Merriman Farr, 98, of Baldwinsville passed away on Sunday, February 18th at the Cottages at Garden Grove in Cicero, with his family at his side. Lloyd was born in Portland, Maine on April 11th, 1919. Lloyd was a veteran of World War ll, where he served aboard the USS Wichita and the USS Boise. After serving eight and a half years in the Navy, Lloyd was employed by Allied Chemical for thirty years where he retired as a foreman. Lloyd was predeceased by his son Chester and daughter Ethel Farr and is survived by his son Thomas Farr. He is also survived by his wife Marjorie, and his step-children Carol Fricke, William Mahyna, Michael Loughlin and Kelly Damiano, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lloyd enjoyed traveling to Maine and Florida with his wife. He was passionate about playing golf with his many friends and was active and in a golf league well into his nineties. Lloyd's family would like to express their gratitude to the wonderful and caring staff at the Cottage in Cicero. Lloyd will be forever remembered for love of his grandchildren and his ever-present sense of humor. Calling hours will be Saturday, February 24th from 11:00 - 1:00 pm at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St, Baldwinsville, with the service and burial to follow the calling hours directly after.
