Jean E. Cooper Ursrey, 94, of Memphis, NY was called to heaven on January 29th after a brief illness. Our family was loved and blessed by our gentle angel on earth. Jean was born on September 22, 1923 in England. She met and married her husband, Theodore R. Cooper in England during World War II. They resided in Baldwinsville, NY for many years before moving to Georgia in 1971, where Theodore passed away in 1984. Several years later she married Virgil Ursrey and resided in Hazelhurst, Georgia. Upon his passing, Jean resided in Hazelhurst until moving to Memphis, NY, 10 years ago. Jean was predeceased by her husbands, Theodore R. Cooper and Virgil Ursrey. Jean is survived by her daughters Patricia Harper, Barbara (Donald) Collett, Annette (Douglas) Mitchell, Rosalie (Kurtis) Lyon and her "adopted" daughter, Debi Nosewicz; step-children, Gloria Jean Brown, Wynell Yawn, Anna Faye Black, Ricky Ursrey, Raymond Ursrey, Travis Ursrey, Terry Ursrey, Randy Ursrey, Kenny Ursrey and Virgil Ursrey; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Calling hours are 4:00pm – 7:00pm Friday, February 2 at the Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville with a service to follow at 7:00pm. Services and burial will be at a later date in the Satilla Baptist Church in Hazelhurst, Georgia. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Jordan Fire Department or to WAVES Ambulance Corps.
