George E. Klotz, III, passed away at home Sunday, January 21 with his loving family by his side. He was born in Syracuse, NY to George and Edith Passante Klotz, Jr. and was a lifetime resident of Baldwinsville. George was previously employed with Marcellus Casket Company and General Electric. He was an avid hunter and had a great love for the Adirondacks. George played the baritone horn in the Syracuse Brigadiers Drum and Bugle Corps and was part of the Honor Guard in the Syracuse Brigadiers Alumni. George is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Barbara Zysk Klotz; children, George, John, James and Kathleen Klotz; grandchildren, Meghan, Victoria, Morgan Alexis, James, Kaitlin, and Kristine Klotz and Kimberly (Nate) Lyons; great-grandson, Ezra John; and sister, Kathleen Gudenschwager of Scottsdale, AZ. Calling hours are 11-2 pm, Saturday, February 3 at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St, Baldwinsville. A Service will follow at 2 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 441 W. Kirkpatrick St, Syracuse, NY 13204.
