Obituary of Daniel Jack Williams

Daniel J. Williams, 92, passed away October 12, at St. Camillus Health & Rehab Center. He was born in Scranton, PA, to Daniel and Madelyn Thomas Williams. Dan is originally from Clarks Summit, PA, and moved to the Syracuse area a number of years ago and was employed with the College of Forestry for 30 years. He was a US Navy WW II veteran and was a member of the VFW in Clarks Summit. He loved to sing and would even sing his own songs. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and easy going nature. Dan is predeceased by his parents, wife, Laura Kochanek Williams, and sister, Audrey Williams. Dan is survived by his daughter, Jacquelyn "Lynn" (Paul) Gravina; grandchildren, James (Daniela) Gravina, Lisa Gravina and Jillian (Timothy) Gravius; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are 11-1 pm, Monday, October 16, at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St, Baldwinsville. A 1 pm service will follow at the Funeral Home. Burial is in Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The Cpl. Kyle R. Schneider Foundation, PO Box 8, Baldwinsville, NY 13027 or to a charity of your choice.
