Sara Jones Germain passed away at home on October 5, 2017, 3 weeks short of her 78th birthday. She was born in Baldwinsville to Alexander, Jr. and Helen Garrett Jones. She was a 1957 graduate of the Baldwinsville Academy and was active with reunions and gatherings. Sara spent many years in the banking business, last being Bank of NY, and retired from Dunk and Bright. She was a huge fan of SU football and basketball, and the NY Yankees. She played many sports over the years, including softball, bowling, and golf, in which she was a member of Beaver Meadows Golf Club. She enjoyed the Bunco group and our fun Football Tail Gate Crew. Sara is survived by her husband, Gerald (Jer) Germain; children, Todd (Stella) Germain, Suzanne Freeley, Jon (Suzan) Nentwick, and David (Djuna) Nentwick; grandchildren, her 11 loves; and sisters, Sandy Doris and Nancy Howser. Services are 10 am Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St, Baldwinsville. Burial in Riverview Cemetery. Calling hours are 4-7 pm Wednesday, October 11 at Falardeau Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Lung Assoc., PO Box 7000, Albert Lea, MN 56007-8001.
