Charles Clinton Fremont Church, 95, of Baldwinsville passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at Syracuse Home. Charles was a native and life resident of Baldwinsville. He was a retired employee of New York Telephone after 37 years of service. He was a WWII Veteran serving as first pilot of the B-17, having flown 31 missions with the US Army Air Corps and was a member of the 483rd Bombbarment Group (H) Association. A master craftsman, he built his own home in Baldwinsville, his retirement home in Camden and also several boats. He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Ellen M. Church; his children, Charles C. (Patricia) Church, Jean M.(David) Fant, Donna M. (Martin) Mosher, Amy A. (Don) Roseback, Margaret E. (David deceased)Waldron, and Paul C. (Darleen) Church; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Calling hours are 12:00pm -2:00pm Saturday, October 7, 2017, at the Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville with a service to follow at 2:00pm. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Baldwinsville. Please consider donations to the Syracuse Home Foundation, 7740 Meigs Road, Baldwinsville, NY 13027 in his memory.
