Obituary of Jacqueline Ann Iacovelli

Jacqueline Humphries-Iacovelli, a beautiful, loving, passionate, empowering woman, passed away peacefully at Francis House, on July 22, 2017, after a courageous battle with appendix cancer. She was born on June 23, 1961, in Exeter, England, County of Devon. Jackie and her family moved to the U.S in 1975 where they settled in Binghamton, NY. Jackie lived in the Syracuse area with her husband Gary for the last 26 years. Jackie retired in 2016 after a 30-year career in the health care industry, most recently as Regional and Community Affairs Director at Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield of CNY. She held a Bachelor's Degree from Wilkes University and an MPA from the Maxwell School of Management at Syracuse University. Jackie will be remembered for her passion and love of family, friends, art and music. Her garden surrounding her home in Baldwinsville was her pride and joy, and her love of travel took her to 21 countries. She still remained close to her extended family in England. Jackie is predeceased by her parents, Anthony "Jim" and Gwendolen Humphries and her nephew Kade. She is survived by her devoted husband, Gary Iacovelli of Baldwinsville, sister and brother-in-law, Tania and Daniel Hart of Binghamton, sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Phillip Hodder of Florida, brother Peter Humphries of Florida, brother-in-law Guy Iacovelli, of Apalachin, NY, sister-in-law Dorlene and John Grassi, of Fayetteville, NY, nieces and nephews, Danny (Krissy) and Amie Hart, Kevin Hodder and Kristina (Daniel) Caldwell, Amanda, Devon and John Humphries, Jared (Rhoda) Iacovelli, Darren (Colleen) and Anthony Grassi, great nieces and nephews, Kade, Kensley, Lilly and Gwendolen. Aunts and Uncles, Ken and Shirley Brewer of New Zealand, Evelyn and Brian Harris, Pat and Walter Wood all of England and Marcia Farrant of Windsor, NY and several cousins. Expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to Francis House, 108 Michaels Ave, Syracuse 13208 A memorial service will be held at St. Augustine's Church, 7333 O'Brien Rd. in Baldwinsville, NY, on Saturday, July 29, 2017, at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends immediately following the service, with a reception to be held in the church hall.
