Obituary of Edward W. La Mott

Please share a memory of Edward to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Edward W. La Mott, Jr., 75, passed away June 22, at The Crossings. He was born in Syracuse on May 31, 1942 to Edward, Sr. and Louise Luke La Mott. He worked as a Bookkeeper for JPW Riggers, Inc. of Syracuse, NY for nearly 20 years. His employer, the Wozniczka family, treated him and our family as one of their own. He was forever grateful to them. He retired in 2003 due to kidney failure. In 2004, his brother, Joel, without hesitation, donated his kidney allowing our father to enjoy another 13 years with family and friends. He was a father first, enjoyed wood working, sunny days on his row boat, and spending eternity trying to figure out the ups and downs of the stock market. He will forever be remembered as humble and kind. Edward is predeceased by his wife, Clara La Mott and brothers, George and Michael La Mott. Edward is survived by his daughter Jacqueline La Mott and son Edward (Stephanie) La Mott III; grandchildren Payton La Mott, John Travers, and Elizabeth Travers; brothers Joel, Gerald and Theodore La Mott. Calling hours are Sunday, June 25 from 11-1 pm at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St, Baldwinsville. Services to follow at 1 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016 or go to www.kidney.org/support .
