Obituary of Richard E Sears

Richard Sears, 86 has passed away into the arms of our Lord on April 24, 2017, with his wife, Margaret, the love of his life, by his side. Dick was born in the town of Pitcher, NY on December 25, 1930 the son of the late Eva Foster and Raymond Hatch Sears Sr. He grew up in the town of Conquest, NY and went to Cato-Meridian School, graduating in 1950, and then served in the US Army for two years. While in school, he excelled in the game of basketball as well as playing all other sports. He also loved the game of golf, which he played at Bellevue Country Club, where he was a member for 30 years. Upon his return from the Military, he resumed his career in printing, which started in 1946 at Cato Show Print, he continued in the printing business until he retired in 2006. Richard and Margaret married, August 27, 2005, and not only was he a wonderful husband, he was her best friend. Richard was predeceased by 5 brothers, Raymond, Charles, Robert, Donald, and Malcom. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Meddley Strail Sears; brother, Edgar; and sister-in-law's, Arlene, Bea, Alice, and Loretta Sears. Calling hours are 4-7 pm, Friday, April 28, 2017, at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St, Baldwinsville, NY. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017, at 10 am in the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Humane Association Of CNY, 4915 1/2 W. Taft Road, Liverpool, NY 13088.
