To the Family of my dear neighbor Bill,
I was so saddened to learn of Bill's passing. I did not know or I would have been at this wonderful man's service. Bill was so kind to me in so many quiet ways such as he could be at times. Other times a big smile and conversations about the crazy weather patterns we are having. I would come home from work and find my trash can moved back from the road and set just outside my garage door. I knew Bill had done this as he always did.
I would walk my lawn before mowing to look for debris and never finding any. Then I figured out that Bill was picking up any sticks or debris for me. Our conversations span over 15 years. I am already missing him and our laughs. Heaven has received a beautiful soul. RIP Bill.

Memories of a friend,
As I sit and come to grips with the passing of Bill, memories take me back to growing up with him - grade school, jr. high school, high school. Bill was a tough and at time quiet guy and always enjoying the moment at hand. I first met him while going to Van Buren School. He like all of us boys was involved in youth baseball, pickup football games at the school yard and enjoying all the activities that helps acquainteances develop into lasting friendships. He was a straight up guy - defending those ideas the believed in, enjoying all those he associated with, and moving at his own pace, (which was always one of - commitment, loyalty, and friendship). For those that remember Bill on the field of athletics for the B’ville red and white (football and lacrosse) - he was the very best. He was a patriot in every sense of the word and always had your back. My deepest condolences to his family and I will always remember him as a friend. Rest in peace my friend, for God has a special place for you in heaven.

It is very hard to forget a person with a last name like Billy's. Billy and I were classmates in the 4th and 5th grade at Elizabeth Street school in B-ville. We were good friends for a brief period of time. I moved back to Liverpool and we last touch over the years. Sorry to hear that he past away.

Liz and family,
I am sorry to hear of Bill's passing. Over the past year we'd meet at Top's and then on the ride home we'd reminisce about earlier days. I'll miss his stories and his smile. My sympathy to you and your family. Karen Lane Witter

As a freshman at Alfred University in 1968, I had the privilege of watching Bill play football and lacrosse during his senior year. In football, he was an All-American who played every down as both a center on offense and a linebacker on defense. And in lacrosse, he may have been even better. I also remember Bill as a good friend who stood up for me when I was in a tight spot my freshman year. My sincere condolences go out to his family and friends. Jon Hoek, AU '72

I am in Florida and sorry I cannot give my condolences in person. Bill was my neighbor for 34 years. After my husband died in 2005 Bill was always there to lend a helping hand. I never needed a handyman for all the mechanical and repair mysteries,Bill knew everything. He was kind and a true gentleman. I shall miss him, I am sorry your family has lost this good man..

condolences to the family. Was shocked to see word of Bill's passing. The obit doesn't say it but he was one of the greatest athletes ever to wear the red and white of Bville. I ran into him all the time at the store and he always made me feel better. I'd ask if he was behaving and he'd say I have to follow your example. RIP Bill. I'll never forget seeing you romp on the football and lacrosse fields.
