I had Mrs. Rhebergen for English (Journalism) at C.W. Baker High School in 1976. It was second semester senior year. I needed this class to graduate. I remember her telling the class as the year ended, "if anyone in this room does not attend my class and skips school for 'senior skip day' they will not pass." She was tough but fair. I knew, however, she meant it. Nevertheless, I went to Sandy Pond later in the day after her class. Great teacher.
My condolences to her family. My thoughts and prayers are with you and God bless!
My condolences to her family.

Paul and Keri, we are so sorry for your loss. Your mom and dad were both great mentors for me. Paul, thanks for being my friend during our formative years...in high school, church, and DeMolay. You continue to demonstrate your parents exceptional life values.
Of the many kind acts your mother did, she gave me her copy of the high school yearbook from my senior year after I had lost mine in one of my many military moves. I will never forget that...
It's tough living without parents. I hope you can continue to talk to yours as I talk with mine. They remain with you...in your heart.

Lois was a teacher at Baker High School when I started there in the early 80's. She was a lovely, caring person and was always so nice to me when I was starting my career in teaching English. Later, after she had retired, I was always so happy to see Lois at the end of the year breakfasts. She always had a kind word and was eager to know how things were going at her beloved Baker High. We also had a connection through the Baldwinsville Scholarship Foundation - when we started the phone a thon, she was always anxious to talk to one of the student volunteers who were making calls - just to know how things were going at Baker. Lois loved Baker High!
My deepest condolences as you grieve Lois's passing. She was a beautiful person, a fabulous teacher, and a dear colleague. She will be missed but never forgotten!

Dear family of Lois,
I'm so very sorry for your loss, and I'm sad that Lois is gone, too.
I graduated from Baker High School in Baldwinsville in 1974, and Lois was my English teacher one of those years. She was also my fellow church member. As I recall, she used to speak of her children by name in class, so imagine my surprise when I ran into Paul Rhebergen in New Jersey church circles. But actually I don't remember whether that happened before or after two of my own children had Rhebergen granddaughters in their high school classes. Anyways, it was amazing to see Lois at my local Pennington, NJ, high school graduation twice, I believe.
I'm so pleased to have been in contact with her all these years and also delighted that she could attend the last two reunions of C. W. Baker Class of '74.
Peace and many warm memories to you all.

Good afternoon. I want to say to the family that I am saddened to hear that Mrs Rhegergen has passed. I was in her class in 73 and will never forget her. I was the kind of student who liked to "get away" with a lot and she busted me right off the bat! I truly appreciated and respected that so she was always on my list of TOP teachers! The most memorable thing about her however was more personal. My father died SUDDENLY that October and when I returned to class Mrs Rhebergen came to me and offered me condolences. She was the only one to do so and I NEVER forgot it and never will. She will be in my thoughts and all of you who loved her will be in my prayers as well. I truly thank God she was in my life no matter how brief. God bless you all. Maribeth

I will remember Mrs. Rhebergen fondly. She was my 11th grade English teacher at Baker and really went the extra mile for me. I was SO lucky to receive a Baldwinsville Community Scholarship from Mr. and Mrs. Rhebergen when I graduated. I last saw Mrs. Rhebergen about 8 months ago. I'm glad I had the chance to see her one last time. Please accept my condolences on the loss of your mother, grandmother and aunt.

Mrs. Rhebergen (she actually asked me to call her Lois about 15 years ago...but I still couldn't do it!) was absolutely one of my favorite teachers and mentors. She wasn't tough - she had high expectations! And as an adult I discovered and appreciated her wicked sense of humor. The miles and the years prevented frequent visits, but I have thought of her often. My thoughts and prayers go to Paul, Keri and their families.

Rest in Peace dear Mrs. Rhebergen. One of my favorite teachers. Always inspiring excellence, tough, but very fair. And once you got to know her, loving and kind.
