Grandma, I have always wished we had more time to make memories together. I will always carry you with me. You are someone to look up to, always so good to everyone, and one of the most loving people I have ever known. I feel so lucky to be named after you, and especially the artistic abilities you passed on. You're a wonderful painter.. Can't wait to see you again ❤️️✝️

I took care of my mom for the last 11 years of her life with us on earth. I told her many times near the end how proud I was of her accomplishments in life...that she was a wonderful mother, the best anyone could possibly have. I also told her many times she was not a burden to us. Especially at the end I told her it was an honor to have been able to take care of her. Most of us only get one mom in life and one shot in our lives for paying back your mom for all the love and care she gave to you growing up. I would not have done things any different. My mom was around her family every day she knew we all loved her. She was the matriarch of our family, a remarkable woman and she will be sorely missed. Rest in peace mom. I love you.

Grandma Nancy was always there for me growing up. She never missed a Christmas or a birthday. She was full of love for her family, and now that she is passed I realize something special. What she has taught me with love, compassion, respect and caring for others lives within me and who I am.
It was an inside joke, that grandma was always fashionably late by 1 to 3 hours. If we were planning on dinner or gathering, we would tell her we were doing it 1 to 3 hours earlier. We were never angry about her being late, but just realized, at least we could depend on her being there for us and she was going to be late:).
She used to take me to the movies and Friendly's Restraunt for quality time. Our family went to her house in the late 70's, to watch Jaws for the first time on HBO. That was back when cable TV wasn't available where we lived at the time. Grandma was the first to get cable in our family.
She was always there for my football games and lacrosse games when we played B'ville. Grandma was there for me when I graduated and was there to see me off when I joined the Army. She came all the way out to Washington state, even though she wasn't feeling good at the time. She came out to visit and meet my son Hayden when he was born. My mom and grandma spent time with my other children, Beth, Brittany and Brandon also. I appreciate the bond we shared together with Grandma!
Grandma, if you can hear me, thank you for all you have done for us, and the love you have shown us during your time here on earth. You will be missed greatly, and I can't think of anyone better to have as a grandmother than you. Goodbye grandma, we will see you in heaven someday.
Love,
Chad, Amy, Beth, Brittany, Brandon and Hayden Young

The mother is everything - she is our consolation in sorrow, our hope in misery, and our strength in weakness. She is the source of love, mercy, sympathy, and forgiveness. He who loses his mother loses a pure soul who blesses and guards him constantly.
