Denis Edmond LaPointe, 73, of Pennellville, NY, went to meet the Lord, Nov. 5, 2016 after a brief illness. He is predeceased by his parents, Aldie E. & K Alice LaPointe of Warners, NY. Surviving are his wife, Patricia Russell LaPointe and his children: Kimberly (Bryan) Butler-Mahoney, Lynn (Jeremy) Lamphere, Matthew (Nyla) LaPointe, Bethany (Josh) Rogers, Nathan LaPointe, Ashley (Brock) Cerny, Chi-Chi (Keishia) LaPointe, and Dominique LaPointe. His siblings: Eileen Steller, Noel LaPointe, and John LaPointe. Many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Mr. LaPointe graduated from West Genesee HS, Camillus in 1962 & Cayuga County Community College. He was a Staff Sergeant in the Air Force for 4 yrs. He worked in Computer Security for BCBS of CNY, & was a supervisor. Denis went on two Missions Trips to an orphanage in Honduras. He opened his home to those in need and was a foster father and an adoptive parent. He & Patricia also served in a hospital ministry for a season. One of the highlights of his travels was a trip to Israel. He enjoyed family, gardening, sports, travel, humor & the model railroad club. He was dedicated to God & Country. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 18th at 11:00 AM at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer Street, Baldwinsville with a luncheon immediately following at St. Augustine's Parish Hall, 7333 O'Brien Road, Baldwinsville.
