Obituary of Margaret N. Schrempf

Margaret Newell Schrempf, 76, of Baldwinsville, NY, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2016, surrounded in the comfort of her loving family. Margaret was born in Marcellus, NY to Louis and Marie Newell on March 28, 1940. She attended Marcellus Sr. High and went on to earn an Education degree from SUNY Cortland in 1962. At Cortland she met and later married her best friend Gary. She worked for many years in the Baldwinsville School District, the majority as a 6th grade teacher at Ray Middle School. She enjoyed playing bridge, breakfast and lunches with her former co-workers and friends, SU Basketball and nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren and watching their events and sports teams. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Schrempf and her parents Louis and Marie Newell. She is survived by her daughters, Tracy (Steve) Lauer, Camillus, NY; Meg (Randy) Green, Manlius, NY; Amanda (Owen) Peterson, Hawthorne, NY; Molly (Tim) Phelps, Baldwinsville, NY; and Sara (Andrew) McLane. Grandchildren; Alexandra (Nick) Lang, Samantha Melillo, Meaghan & Jon Lauer, Nathaniel, Casey & Hope Green, Riley, Owen & Laine Peterson, Rowan Phelps, Jack, Ryan & Gary McLane. Great-grandson Miles Lang. Sisters, MaryJane (John) Fennessey, Barbara (James) Kavney and Sally (Clint) Tallman, as well as, several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's of the Assumption Church, 47 Syracuse St., Baldwinsville August 10th at 9:30am. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville on August 9th from 4:00pm – 7:00pm. Memorial donations may be made to Lourdes Camp, 1654 West Onondaga St., Syracuse, NY 13204.
