Obituary of Iris B. Pero

Iris Baumgartner Pero, 95, passed away peacefully Thursday with her family by her side. She was born on September 1, 1920 in Warren County, Indiana the daughter of the late Arthur and Ruth Jones Baumgartner. Iris was a graduate of Purdue University in 1942 with a bachelor's degree and later received her master degree in education. She retired from Cato-Meridian Central School after more than 25 years of service as the Cafeteria Manager. She was predeceased by her husband DeWitt I. Pero in 2005. Survived by her daughter: Collette Pero; sons: Ty Pero and Pierre Pero. There will be no public services. Contributions can be made to VA Medical Center or Hospice of CNY in Iris's memory.
