Obituary of Earl S. Crego

Earl Stephen Crego, 88, of Baldwinsville, NY died peacefully at home on July 20,2016 . A lifelong resident of Baldwinsville, Earl and his first wife, Marcia were owners of the Bville View Dairy Farm on West Sorrell Hill Road. Earl graduated from Baldwinville High School in 1945. He was also a 1949 graduate of Cornell University. He served in the US Army during the Korean War and spent his time in Germany based in Eschwege which was a mere 3 kilometers from the East German border. Earl was a loving and compassionate father, husband, role model and friend to everyone who knew him. He was a 60 year member of the Baldwinsville First United Methodist Church and the Baldwinsville Grange. He was also, Treasurer for the Central Co-Operative lnsurance Company for many years. Earl was predeceased by his parents J Bowman and Ada (Green) Crego and his first wife of 51 years, Marcia E. Herring Crego in 2006 and a grandson, Brock Crego. Earl is survived by his loving wife, Victoria Ujlaky Crego; two daughters, Dawn Crego (Robert Bailey), Faith Steele (Jeffrey) and two sons, Paul Crego (lsaiah Poole) and Stephen Crego (Lori) and a sister, Dorothy Matteson (Sherley) and grandchildren: Jason Steele (Carrie), Zachary Steele, Xiao Crego and Tian Crego and stepdaughters: Jennifer Grems (Eric), Katie Ujlaky, Victoria Ujlaky and stepson, James Ujlaky and stepgrandchildren: Bobby and Max Grems, Remington, Renie, Raina, and Raddlee Dufresne. Calling hours will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, August 4 at the Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer Street, Baldwinsville. The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, August 5 at the First United Methodist Church,73 West Genesee Street, Baldwinsville.
