Jean F. Darrow Carrington, 90, of Baldwinsville passed away peacefully after a brief illness. She was born in Weedsport and spent her summers with her grandparents in Weedsport and her aunt and uncle on a small farm in Port Byron. She spent most of her life in Syracuse, graduating from Central High. She was employed as a secretary at Church & Dwight; a Dist. Secretary at Sun Oil Co. and retired from Nestles in Fulton as secretary of the Industrial Engineering Dept. She is a 4th generation of Erie Canalers and sponsored 3 Canal Murals in Weedsport, Jordan and Camillus and the boathouse in Erie Canal Park bears her family name of Ray. She is predeceased by her brothers Kenneth in 1954 and Donald "Butch" in 1984. Survivors: her daughter, Christine Carrington of Syracuse; grandson, Zachary (Nancy) Carrington of San Diego, CA; two sisters, Janise (Taras) Pawliw of Camillus and Paulette Barber of Billings, MT; two brothers, Richard Darrow of Liverpool and Raymond Darrow of Baldwinsville; several nieces and nephews. Calling hours: 4 – 7pm Wednesday at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville. Graveside services: 11:00am Thursday at Weedsport Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Sims Store at the Erie Canal Museum in Camillus or Hospice Of CNY
