John J. Schairer, 47, of Baldwinsville passed away on Monday at home. John was born on October 8, 1968 in Syracuse the son of John D. and Helen Konrad Schairer. He was a 1991 graduate of Oswego State. John had worked for a number of years for Bj's Wholesale and Dot Foods. He loved to help others and became a volunteer fireman with the Baldwinsville Fire Department. He was a member of the fire departments Rescue Diver Team and was an EMT; he recently celebrated 10 years with the fire department. John was predeceased by his father John D. in 2006. Survived by his loving wife of 22 years Jacqueline Wilson Schairer; son, John J. Schairer Jr.; daughter, Alexa Schairer; mother, Helene Schairer; sisters: Jacquelynn (Robert) Wortel, Tracy (Thomas) Gilbo and several nieces and nephews. Services: 11:00 am Friday, February 19, 2016, at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville with burial to follow in Riverview Cemetery, Baldwinsville. Calling hours are 4-7 pm Thursday, February 18, 2016, at the funeral home, 93 Downer Street. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Baldwinsville Fire Department, 7911 Crego Road, Baldwinsville, NY 13027.
