Stanley J. Krupka, Sr., 93 of Baldwinsville passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at James Square. He was born on July 13, 1922 in Mattydale, the son of the late Floyd and Mary Drezek Krupka. Stanley went to work at Crucible Steel before WWII. During WWII, Stanley served in the US Army as a member of the 125th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron and saw action at Normandy, the Battle of the Bulge and Rhineland. After returning from the war he continued working at Crucible Steel until he retired with 45 years of service. Stanley loved to grow vegetables so while working at the steel mill he also had a farm with his wife Agnes where they raised their family and grew vegetables until he was in his late 80's. Predeceased by his wife Agnes M. Spath Krupka. Survived by a daughter, Carol Ann (Alfred) Dorn of Mechanicville; two sons, Stanley J. (Mary Ann) Krupka, Jr. and Edward M. (Elizabeth) Krupka both of Baldwinsville; brother, John (Elaine) Krupka of Syracuse; 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Services: 2:00pm Monday, December 21, 2015 at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville. Burial will be in Jacksonville Cemetery, Lysander. Calling hours are 2-5pm Sunday, December 20, 2015 at the funeral home, 93 Downer St. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to "The Friends of Beaver Lake".
