Robert A. Shackleton, Sr., 68, of Baldwinsville passed away Sunday, December 6, 2015, at University Hospital. He was born in Syracuse, raised in Baldwinsville, lived in Jack's Reef for 34 years and returned to Baldwinsville several years ago. Bob served in the US Army during the Vietnam War from 1964 – 1967. He was employed with Carrier Corporation for 35 years serving as Chief Steward of the Local 527. He was a volunteer fireman with the Plainville Fire Dept. He enjoyed bowling, golf, the Boston Red Sox and the NY Giants. Bob is survived by his wife of 47 years Carol Grover Shackleton; his children, Robert A. (Kelly) Shackleton, Jr., Toby Shackleton, and Kurt (Brooke) Shackleton; his grandchildren, Emily, Ryley, Amelia, Taylor, Mason and Cooper; his sister, Cheryl Smith; brothers, James and Joseph Shackleton; several nieces and nephews. Services: 10:00 am Friday, December 11, 2015, at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville. Burial to follow in Onondaga County Veterans' Memorial Cemetery.
