Obituary of Patricia Demshaw

Patricia R. Demshaw, of Baldwinsville, passed away on August 19, 2015. Born on October 6, 1925 in Akron, Ohio, She was the daughter of Grace and Marius Dickerson. A graduate of Kenmore High School in Akron, she attended Akron University. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Frank on March 19,1972, and her sister Alice "Foxy" Watkins on August 9, 2015. She worked for many years at C.W. Baker High School as a teaching assistant in the library and for special needs students. Affectionately Known as "Pishy", she loved her family and home, music, singing, taking walks, and her cat, Cali. Surviving family includes a sister, Mary Alice Baxter of Indiana, three daughters: Karen (Nick) DiPietro of Delaware, Patricia (David) Gursky, and Jennifer(Brendan) Jackson, both of Baldwinsville? five grandsons:Paul (Julie) DiPietro, Jason (Kim) DiPietro, John Gursky,Nathan Gursky, Seth Jackson, four great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Burial in Fairview Cemetery, Dickinson Center- Friday, October 23 at 12:00 pm with a Memorial service immediately following burial at Dickinson Center First Baptist Church, 34 Church Street, Dickinson Center. Per Pat's wishes, there will be no calling hours. Memorial gifts to help fund a scholarship for a C. W. Baker High School student may be sent to her daughter, Patricia Gursky, 45 Brown Street Baldwinsville, NY 13027. The family would like to thank the office of Dr. Eppolito, the wonderful staff at Advantage Physical Therapy, and Beaver Lake Animal Hospital for being so kind and supportive over the last few years.
