Helen and I send our deepest sympathy to all of you. Evelyn was like the sister, I never had. As I child, I spent part of every summer with the Rooney family. She was always a very happy and kind person.
Evelyn loved her position at Utica College and at an Educational conference, the President of the College told me what an real asset she was to the institution.
We had hoped to send some time with her this summer, I am so glad Helen and I had an opportunity to talk on the phone about the good 'old days' and in a way to say 'Good bye'.
I know she will be missed by all of you but you have the fond memories that can always be shared.
