I realize this posting is years late, but I wanted to say what a profound effect Mr. Keenan had on my life. He was my history teacher in 1965/66 and my advisor for the Syracuse University Citizenship scholarship competition. I didn't win, but I learned so much from him in the process. After college in 1970, I went on to a 30 year career in the Air Force, retiring as a Colonel. I can't tell you how much his personality affected how I did my job over the years. I mourn his passing. He was truly a great American.

My deepest condolences to the family. I had Mr. Keenan for Social Studies in high school, and had Miss Zimmerman at Reynold's Elementary for first grade. She married Mr. Keenan the year I had her! It was exciting for us kids and thought it was neat that her name changed. Mr. Keenan was a very likable man, and I have always remembered him, and always will. Thank you Mr. Keenan, for teaching us!!

I fondly remember John from my Bville high school days ('65) and in his class. He was an excellent teacher and his class was most interesting. As a family you have to be very proud of him and the legacy of many generations of well trained students. I would love to see his antique boats as I to love to boat and sail (Torch Lake Mich).
