Richard W. Walker, 79, of Baldwinsville died Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at Community-General Hospital. He was born in Rochester raised in Syracuse and lived in Baldwinsville for many years. As a child, he was an altar boy at the Cathedral in Syracuse. Richard was a US Navy veteran of WW II and a member of the VFW Post # 153 and American Legion Post #113. Richard retired in 1995 after 20 years with New Process Gear and was a member of the UAW. He was also a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Baldwinsville. Survivors: his wife of 47 years, the former Dorcas M. Hayes; a daughter, Joanne V. Robles of Houston, TX; a son, Sean M. of Syracuse; a granddaughter, Victoria Snow of Houston, TX; two great-grandsons, Nicholas and Spencer; four sisters, Dolores Petrini of Baldwinsville, Shirley Portelli of Sylvan Beach, Nancy Jenner of Palermo and Diana Beck of Central Square; a brother, James Walker of Syracuse; several nieces and nephews. Services: 10:00am Saturday, March 1, 2008 at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville and 10:30am at St. Mary's Church. Burial in Riverview Cemetery. Calling hours are 4-7pm Friday , February 29, 2008 at the funeral home, 93 Downer Street. Contributions: American Cancer Society, 6725 Lyons Road, E. Syracuse, NY 13057
