Obituary of Mary E. Zahn

Mary E. Zahn, 85, of Baldwinsville passed away Thursday, October 18, 2007 at Syracuse Home Assoc., Baldwinsville. She was born in Baldwinsville where she lived most of her life, and was a Graduate of Oswego State College. She received her Masters Degree in both Library Science and Education at Syracuse University. She taught in VanHornsville, NY, Clinton, NY and SUNY Oswego retiring in 1981 as Professor Emerita. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Baldwinsville and belonged to the Travelers Club, the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, and the NYS Teachers Assoc. Survivors: her sister, Ann Z. Gates of Baldwinsville; two nieces, Marilyn Cline McKerchie of Pennellville and Joanne Gates of Oswego; three nephews, Michael Cline of FL, William Gates of FL and David Gates of Bradford, NY; several grand and great grand nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass: 11:00am Saturday, October 20, 2007 at St. Mary’s Church, Baldwinsville . Burial, St. Mary's Cemetery, Baldwinsville. There will be no calling hours.
