Dear Merriam and Family,
Please accept my sympathy on the death of your father. He was always so gracious when I would come to see you when you were in Syracuse, as well as the few times I got to see him after he moved from his house. I will always remember his offering of candy!
You all were so good in helping him travel the maze of medical and home care.

Merriam,
I read today of your dad's passing. My prayers and condolences to you and your family. Russ was always easy going wherever I met with him on the Cunningham 5 unit at Loretto. I was so pleased to meet you in person, though would have prefered this encounter under better circumstances. You were a great support to your dad.
Sincerely,
Theresa Evans

Some of my fondest memories are of visiting with Russ on the many occasions that I was invited to dinner by he and Gram. They were both special people. Russ and I would talk about our shared interests and he never failed to make me feel that what I had to say was important. He was a very good carpenter himself but he always had respect my abilities as well. I was always grateful to him for that and had a deep respect for him as well.
Please know that you have my deepest sympathy and condolences.
