William S. Fedorich died April 16, 2007 at Iroquois Nursing Home in Jamesville, NY after a long illness. He was 74. Bill leaves his wife of 50 years, Jane (Canty) of Baldwinsville, NY, his sons, William of Danbury, CT, Robert (Deb) of Bristol, CT and Mark (Rebekah) of Baldwinsville, NY; he was predeceased by his daughter, Nancy. Bill was the doting grandfather of Jeremiah of Torrington CT, Marissa of Brewer, ME, Brianna, Julianna and Drew of Browns Mills, NJ, and great-grandfather of Micayla of Torrington, CT and Mercedes of Brewer, ME. Bill leaves his brothers Edward (Unionville, CT) and James (Torrington, CT), his aunt, Irene Machier of Torrington, CT and his uncle, Paul Machier of Arvada, CO. Bill served in the Army during the Korean War and was discharged as a Staff Sergeant. Bill retired from The Torrington Company in 1991 after 43 years of service ending his stay with Kilian Manufacturing of Syracuse. Bill was an avid gardener and landscaper. In the 1970’s, Bill led a fight to reform city government in Torrington and was an officer of the Burrville Fire Department. In the 1990’s, Bill was active in his hometowner’s association in Fayetteville, NY. The family wishes to thank the current and former employees and staff of the Iroquois Nursing Home in Jamesville, NY for their compassionate and personal care of Bill. A memorial mass will be celebrated at the convenience of the family at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Baldwinsville, NY at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation Of CNY, 913 Old Liverpool Road, Liverpool, NY, 13088.
