Purl D. Cornell, Jr., 81, of Baldwinsville went home Wednesday, February 7, 2007 to be with his Savior and Lord Jesus Christ. He was born in Jamestown, NY and has lived in Baldwinsville for over 40 years. He was a Navy veteran of WWII and a long-standing member of the North Syracuse Baptist Church. He retired in 1985 after 30 years at Crucible Steel.
Survivors: his wife, of 44 years, Elizabeth A.; a daughter, Pamela (Steve) Hinman of Croghan, NY; 3 sons, Alfred (Karen) of Ellery Center, NY, Paul (Dawn) of Beaver Falls, NY and John of Baldwinsville; 15 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services: 11:00am Saturday, February 10, 2007 at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville. Burial, Greenlawn Memorial Park, Warners. Calling hours are 4-7pm Friday, February 9, 2007 at the funeral home, 93 Downer St.
