Please share a memory of Annie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Annie Hoover returned to the loving embrace of our Mother Earth on Thursday, February 1, 2007 surrounded by her family. She is of the Wolf Clan of the Kahnawake Mohawk. She was the daughter of Joseph and Margaret Monick, who died a few days apart in 1934. She was born September 22, 1928 in Theresa, New York. After the death of her parents she was entered into the St. Patrick’s orphanage and later attended the Thomas Indian School. She graduated from Jamestown, a Licensed Practical Nurse. We give thanks to the Creator for having the honor of giving her our love. Through her selfless actions and her ability to love with the heart of a child, she has shown all that had the privilege to know her the true beauty of Creation. Her wisdom of years has guided us all as we have journeyed through our own lives. Our love travels with her now, on her next journey, Onen. Survivors: husband, Kenneth “Kenny” Hoover; daughter and “son”, Mary and David Arquette of Akwesasne, (Hogansburg, NY); daughter and “son” Ellen Brown and David Schwartz of Memphis, NY; 3 grandchildren, Kentaratiron (Francis), Kanenishon (Kathleen) and Anerahtonkie (Kenneth); sister, Mary Meehan of Buffalo; several nieces and nephews.
