Margaret B Tupper, 94, died Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at Syracuse Home Association in Baldwinsville. Born on June 22, 1912 in Port Lyden, NY to Charles and Nina (Reed) Holmes, she graduated from Port Lyden High School in 1929, and Oswego Normal School in 1932. After teaching in a one room school and working as a housemother at Elmcrest Childrens Home, she married Emerson E. Tupper in 1935. While raising a family she was employed by Baldwinsville Central Schools as a bookkeeper and treasurer, retiring in 1968. She is survivied by two sons, Howard C. Tupper of Baldwinsville and David A. Tupper of Plains, Montana; two grandsons, Kaanan and Benjamin; several nieces and nephews. Known for her community service in recent years, she could be seen presenting scholarships during “Moving Up Day” and participating in charity events like hot air balloons rides and driving Gypsum Express trucks. She was also an accomplished tourist, traveling to Europe on several occasions. She will be missed by many. Contibutions may be sent to a charity of your choice. Funeral services are 11:00am Wednesday, November 1, 2006, at Grace Episcopal Church, 110 Oswego St., Baldwinsville. Burial will be in the church memorial garden. There will be no calling hours.
