Burton F. Shaler, 80, of Baldwinsville died Friday, August 18, 2006 at Veterans Medical Center. He was born in Watertown and lived in Baldwinsville the past 50 years. Burton was a retired employee of Union Local #747. He was a US Navy veteran of WW II serving in both the Atlantic & Pacific Theaters. He was a former 32nd degree Mason and member of the Tigris Temple.
Survivors: his wife of 59 years, Doris I. Shaler; two daughters, Cynthia McWilliams of Mexico and Diane Marie Shaler of Long Lake; three sons, Kurt William Shaler of Parish, Mark Lee Shaler of Chittenango and Eric Burton Shaler of Baldwinsville; a sister, Eleanor Jean Rushton of Tucson, AZ; 16 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Services: 11:00am Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville. Calling hours are 2-4 & 7-9pm Tuesday, August 22, 2006 at the funeral home, 93 Downer Street.
