Obituary of Arthur S. Peters

Arthur S. Peters, 71, of Baldwinsville passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, July 25, 2006. He was born in Lockport and lived in Baldwinsville most of his life. Art, aka “Pete”, was a 1953 graduate of Baldwinsville Academy and was “All County” in football, basketball and baseball. He was a recipient of the Class of 1949 "Athlete of the Year” award. He served in the US Army from 1955-58. Art was a contractor with Cole Muffler for 23 years. He was a former member of the Baldwinsville Kiwanis Club and was a co-founder of Pop Warner Football in Baldwinsville. Survivors: his wife of 44 years the former Shirley A. Grout; a daughter, Tracy L. (Gary Woodhams) Laffin of Baldwinsville; four sons, Robert (Debbie) Bruns of Clarksville, TN, Timothy R. (Sharon) Peters of Baldwinsville, Jeffrey V. (Rebecca) Peters of No. Syracuse and Steven A. (Theresa) Peters of Hastings; two sisters, Audrey (Tony) Peach and Vicki (Mike) Williams both of Baldwinsville; 12 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are 6-9pm Friday, July 28, 2006 and 11:00am – 1:00pm Saturday, July 29, 2006 at the Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer Street. Services are at 1:00 pm Saturday following the calling hours. Burial at a later date in Greenlawn Cemetery.
