Leonard F. Edinger II, 62, of Baldwinsville died unexpectedly Wednesday, May 24, 2006 at his home. He was born in Syracuse, was a 1961 graduate of NorthSyracuse High School and a 1965 graduate of Williams College. Len enlisted in the Coast Guard in 1966 and served for 26 years. His first tour of duty took him to Saipan, Northern Marianas Islands where he met and married Maggie, his wife of 38 years. He was currently Director of Transportation at Oswego County Opportunities, Inc. since 1992. Len has served as President of the National Management Association, was a Board Member of the New York Public Transit Association, and a member of the Advisory Committee for Rural Transit Assistance Program. Len served on various Human Service Agency committees in Oswego County. He was a strong supporter of the C.W. Baker High School Music program and the Baldwinsville Theatre Guild for which he served as Treasurer. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. A loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he is survivied by his wife, Maggie; three children, Jane E. (Corbin P.) Baum of Cleveland, OH, Kimberly (Kenneth) Russell of Raleigh, NC, and Rick Edinger of New York, NY; three grandchildren, Graycen, Kiersten, and Michaela; a brother, Frederick P. Edinger of Parish; an uncle, Jack Kreischer of Jamesville; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services: 11:00 am Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville. Calling hours are 2-4 & 7-9pm Monday, May 29, 2006 at the funeral home, 93 Downer Street.
