Donald R. Hockenberry, Sr., 78, of Baldwinsville died Monday, April 24, 2006 at Loretto, Syracuse. He was born March 12, 1928 in Sparrowbush, NY. He lived in Hornell 30 years before moving to Baldwinsville in 1999. Donald was employed as Signal Supervisor with Conrail (formerly Erie and Erie Lackawanna Railroads) retiring in 1989 after 44 years. He was a member of American Railway Supervisors Association. Donald was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Margaret in 2005; two sisters, Jean Cataldo and Helen Lahey; his mother and stepfather, Enio and Charlotte Vocci. Survivors: two daughters, Susan Hockenberry of No. Syracuse and Claire and her husband Douglas MacFayden of Mooresville, NC; a son, Donald, Jr. and his wife Alexandra of Hornell; a brother, John Vocci and wife Nancy of Matamoras, PA; four grandchildren, Nicole, Stephan, Amy, and Katie; three great-grandchildren, Isabella, Korey, and Owen. Services: 9:00 am Thursday, April 27, 2006 at St. Mary's Church Baldwinsville, Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Baldwinsville. Calling hours are 5-7pm Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at the Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville. The family would like to thank the emergency department and patient care units 6A, 6B, 5A and Dr. Vincent Frechette at University Hospital for the care and concern extended to all. We would also like to thank the staff at Loretto Health & Rehab. Center for the kindness and dedication over the years. Contributions: Humane Association of CNY, 4915 W.
