Obituary of Betty J. Sears

Betty J. Coon Sears, 78, of Baldwinsville and Hobe Sound, Fla., died Tuesday at University Hospital. Born in Syracuse, she lived in Baldwinsville most of her life. She was a member of Canton Woods Senior Center, Baldwinsville, and Van Buren Women's Republican Club. Her husband, Mahlon ''Doc,'' died in 1992; her son, Mark, died previously. Survivors: A daughter, Darlene J. Van Der Water of Baldwinsville; two brothers, Fred Coon of Umatilla, Fla., and Erwin Coon of North Syracuse; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Services: 8:30 p.m. Saturday at Falardeau Funeral Home. Burial, Riverview Cemetery. Calling hours, 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville.
